Seven springs honey

Raw, Local Honey from Suffolk

How it all started

My journey into beekeeping began unexpectedly, after picking up a set of books covering everything from cheesemaking and chicken keeping to soap making and, eventually, beekeeping. The chickens came first, some cheese was made, but it was the bees that stayed with me.One day, while out walking, I came across a small apiary. I still remember the sound, thousands of busy bees moving with purpose. There was something calming, fascinating, and deeply connected to nature about it.What started as curiosity quickly became something much bigger. Beekeeping has become a way to step away from screens, spend more time outdoors, and share something real with my children. It offers a chance to slow down, work with the seasons, and spend time observing creatures we all know, bees we often fear, yet deeply respect.Living in Exning, surrounded by stories of Boudica, St Wendreda’s Well, and the Seven Springs that feed our beautiful chalk river, the name Seven Springs Honey felt like the perfect reflection of place, nature, and connection.

Seven Springs Honey is an independent apiary set in nature, working with local bees to create something simple & natural.

From hive to jar, honey is gathered in small batches with care for our bees and the Suffolk countryside.

We rehome swarms, supporting the growth of healthy, thriving colonies.
